What exactly does a wedding celebrant do?
As a wedding celebrant, I create and conduct personalised, meaningful ceremonies that reflect you as a couple. Whether you want something traditional, modern, spiritual, or completely unique, I work with you to craft a ceremony that feels right for you.
Are your ceremonies legally binding?
Yes! As a registered wedding celebrant in Ireland, I can conduct legally binding weddings. This means that your ceremony can include all the official legal elements while still being tailored to your personal story.
Can we have a non-religious ceremony?
Absolutely! Your ceremony can be religious, spiritual, secular, or anywhere in between. I ensure that it aligns with your beliefs and values, making it a truly personal experience.
Do you officiate same-sex weddings?
Yes, 100%! I am a proud advocate for marriage equality and believe that love should be celebrated in all its forms. I am honored to officiate weddings for LGBTQ+ couples.
Can we include cultural or symbolic rituals in our ceremony?
Of course! I love incorporating meaningful elements such as handfasting, sand ceremonies, candle lighting, or any other traditions that hold significance for you.
How far in advance should we book you?
It’s best to book as early as possible, especially for peak wedding seasons. Some couples book over a year in advance, while others secure their date within a few months. Get in touch, and we’ll see what’s available!
Can we write our own vows?
Yes! Writing your own vows is a beautiful way to personalize your ceremony. If you need help, I can guide you with structure, wording, and inspiration.
How long does a ceremony typically last?
Most ceremonies last between 20 to 40 minutes, depending on the elements you choose to include. I ensure that it’s engaging, meaningful, and flows beautifully.
What areas do you cover?
I am based in Galway City but travel across Ireland to officiate weddings. If your venue is further afield, we can discuss travel arrangements.
How do we book you?
Simply reach out via my website, email, or phone to check availability. We’ll then arrange an initial chat to discuss your vision and start planning your perfect ceremony.
What happens if you are sick or unable to make it?
I am a member of the Enchanted Ceremonies group of Celebrants and have access to a group of amazing celebrants who can step in on short notice in the unlikely event that I am unwell.
